Building the Railroad and Where It Went Operating the Garden Railway & Santa Fe
|
After selling off all the narrow gauge rolling stock, I had to start over. Many of the earlier freight cars are Aristo with Kadees body mounted and metal wheel sets. I also have a couple of passenger cars from Aristo. I have stripped and repainted some of the Aristo cars for a better roadname variety and decaled them for more current railroads. The past few years, freight cars purchased have been primarily USA, which provides a better variety of modern freight cars, including covered hoppers, tank cars, and 50' box cars of various types. I also purchased one of their aluminum passenger cars, a real monster but beautiful. I have also picked up some American LGB cars, covered hoppers, tanks, and a couple of box cars. Like all the others, they are converted to Kadee couplers.
